This seascape came from a memory of a sunset where the sky burned gold and the ocean turned quiet. The drama was in the clouds and the calm underneath.
Techniques: from an old traditional glazing/sfumato (16th-17th century) to impressionistic impasto. Materials: professional grade oil paints, brushes, palette knife, gallery wrapped 100% LINEN canvas, varnish.
