In this coastal painting, I captured the dynamic essence of the ocean's surface:
a green ocean wave gathers above the golden shallows, its translucent edges catching the sun as light flickers beneath the water surface.
For a fleeting moment, the sea wave feels both immense and weightless, sort of suspended between stillness and impact.
I painted this seascape for that feeling when the world around you begins to dissolve, washed away until all that exists is seawater, sunlight, and the anticipation of the wave.
I feel like some paintings are made to be looked at, perhaps to give you a glimpse into the artist’s world.
And maybe others are made to make you want to be in that world.
