A warm summer afternoon, the pull of tidal seawater, and seagulls, these little wind catchers, riding the salty breeze above the breaking wave. The afternoon seems to stretch on forever. And it does in my memory.
That's what I love the most about painting sea: even if you can't stop and stretch the moment itself, you can keep the feeling. You can still hear the waves, feel the wind on your face, almost taste the salt in the air.
